Originating from Central America and the Caribbean.The most striking feature of Jatropha podagrica is its bulbous and swollen stem, which resembles the rounded belly of the Buddha.
The succulent leaves of Jatropha podagrica are palmately lobed and deeply divided, adding an interesting textural contrast to the succulent's unique form. In late summer and early autumn, the plant produces clusters of small star-shaped, pink to reddish flowers, adding a burst of color to its appearance.
