The Maelstrom is an extra-large rain tarp offering 360-degrees of protection from the wind, rain, and snow. It can be set up at ground level to limit the airflow, or higher in the air to maximize the space underneath. It can be used in a variety of different settings, for example, with a hammock hanging on trees, or as a ground shelter using trekking poles.
360-DEGREES OF COVERAGE
With over 94 sq ft of coverage and its closing doors, the Maelstrom Tarp is a storm-ready shelter. It can effectively replace a tent canopy and protect 2-3 persons when staked at ground level.
ULTRALIGHT MATERIAL
Our 20 Denier diamond ripstop silicone impregnated polyester fabric is the perfect ultralight waterproof material for a tarp. It packs real small and weighs only about 550g or 19oz.
STORM PROOF
Our polyurethane coating, rated 2000mm, further helps make the Maelstrom impermeable to rain, wind, or snow. The center seam is sealed with waterproof tape against leaks.
REINFORCED TENSION POINTS
All 10 corners are reinforced, providing durability against high winds and stormy weather. Integrated metal ring create a secure opening for trekking poles.
VELCRO FOR LINES STORAGE
A velcro system at each corner allows to roll and store the tension lines when not in use to prevent mixing the cords.

Different mounting mechanism than photos

I'm going to start off this review by stating that the mounting mechanism used on the Shelf is different than the one shown in the photo. In the photo, it shows a single bar which would have made the Shelf easier to level however, the product I received has two separate bars which means I have to be extra careful holding a level against the paper. Stencil. The reason I chose this product over different listings was because for a dollar or two more its photo showed a single bar.
Now for the pros and cons:
Pros:
Accurate measurement.
Shelf appears to be actual wood! The photos made it looks like a veneer, which it is not.
Easy to install.
Includes good instructions.
Seems like it can hold items fairly well.
Cons:
The mounting hardware for drywall pretty flimsy, and I stripped out some of the drywall anchors during install. They still worked, but it was annoying to finish inserting them.
The shelf doesn't sit fully flush to the wall from factory as the screws included make it protrude slightly. I can fix this with my dremel, However, This could have been solved from the factory by making the cavity slightly deeper.
As mentioned above in my main detractor, it is a two bar mounting system rather than a one bar, which was shown in the photo.

Pleased overall

They have an unfinished feel, and the underside screws used to hold the shelf on the poles strip out really easy. Tighten those by hand and with care. Other than that, they look great and were easy to install. Came with a full set of hardware including anchors for various wall types. Stable enough to hold small to medium sized Lego sets (don't try to put Lego Hogwarts size kits on them--not big enough). Bought 3 sets of 4 and used others as Book shelves. They work very well for novel size or paperback sized books. Just make sure you anchor them well into the wall. These will only be as good as the installation.

Nice and Inexpensive!

Thé shelves are good quality and easy to hang. Thé instructions do leave a bit to be desired as they misidentify which anchor to use for dry wall. I followed instructions for the first shelf and it was not very stable. I switched to the other anchors and it was great. All hardware in included. These require minimum size holes in your wall, but it is a floating shelf so be prepared to patch when you take them down. It’s a set of 4 so a good value!

Not worth the time

Plastic pieces for the dry wall broke and also created an even bigger hole in the wall. One of the shelves wouldn’t even stay level despite following all instructions. Wood gives you splinters as well since it’s not sanded down.
