The Plus Pedal is a truly unique solution for the modern singer songwriter, taking the basic concept of a piano sustain pedal but providing more control and customisation. This pedal is a revelation, and really moves the goal posts of what you can do.

Essentially, it allows you to sustain selected notes and chords to create a "drone" as you play. By pressing and holding the pedal down, it will sustain the tail-end of the last note in a soft pad effect. Then you can continue to play over the top, and the pedal will only sustain the notes that were played when you pressed it.

Already, this pedal is ‘smarter’ than a mechanical sustain pedal on a piano. But they haven't stopped there...you also get 4 controls to really tweak your sustain!

Blend
Blend allows you to adjust the amount of wet signal in the mix. In other words, it affects how loud you want the sustained notes to be in comparison to your original dry sound.

Tail
Tail controls how long the note continues to sustain once you release the pedal. You can set it to cut off straight away, giving you snappy control, or let it ring out and combine new layers on top of each other for a richer sonic "wall of sound."

Rise
Rise controls the attack of the wet signal, and how quickly or slowly you want the wet signal to fade in.

Sustain
Sustain allows you to change the length of the sustain, from that of a naturally ringing string’s sustain to an infinite sustain (as long as you’re holding the pedal!)

Other features
Thanks to an effects loop, with a dry/wet toggle switch you can play with other effects and change how they work with the wet or dry channels separately. And with 2 outputs, you can send your dry signal out to a separate amp to the wet signal and really control the effect you’re creating on stage!
The optional extra ‘Wet’ pedal will also allow you to toggle the dry signal off completely and use your guitar as a string or organ-like pad. The options are endless for what you can create with the Plus Pedal!

Here's what Gamechanger Audio say about the Plus Pedal:

No ordinary stompbox
The PLUS pedal is a new kind of audio processing engine that offers piano-style sustain for guitars and other electric instruments

Real time audio sampling
is a unique technology developed by GAMECHANGER AUDIO that lets you capture and sample tiny bits of your instrument’s signal in real time and loop them into a seamless, warm and responsive sustained tone. Think of it as a smart looper that only “catches” the last segment part of each note or chord and use it to create a continuous sound.

Dynamic & Responsive
The PLUS Pedal is also fully responsive to any playing style – create continuous layers of sustain incorporating vibrato, bends, harmonics, trills and other dynamic playing techniques. You can also use the whammy bar, play with a slide or experiment with amp feedback or noises – the PLUS Pedal will capture all of these tonal nuances and turn them into a continuous sound.

Reinvent your style
The PLUS Pedal is an extension of your instrument, letting you create multiple layers of sounds as-you-go.  From jazz-voiceleading to heavy post-rock drones – the Plus Pedal lets you do more with your instrument!

Live Performances
The PLUS Pedal is incredibly useful for both solo performers and bands – create rich harmonies and achieve a huge sound on stage – the audience won’t know what hit them.

Songwriting
The PLUS Pedal opens up a whole new dimension for song arrangments and chord-melody. It is almost like having an extra hand.

Practice & Aural training
Instead of thinking about what scale shapes fit over which chords, the PLUS Pedal encourages you to focus on listening and develops your understanding of intervals and tonal relationships.

Sound Effects and Ambience
Even with no experience in sound production – you will be able to transform your instrument into a full-on sound effects laboratory. Great for ambient genres or movie scores.

Two Outputs

The PLUS Pedal has one main mono 1/4 inch jack input. To plug in a microphone, you’ll need to use an XLR adaptor. The Second Output “DRY OUT” will send the DRY signal at all times (it also doubles as a footswitch input jack).

The Main Output on the pedal’s far left side can send out a mixed Dry / Wet signal, depending on the position of the Toggle switch. When the toggle is set to MIX, then the Main Output will send out a mixed signal: when the Pedal is not engaged it will simply send the DRY signal through unafffected; as soon as the pedal is pressed down, the WET signal will be added to the mix.

When the toggle switch is set to WET Only, the DRY signal will be removed from the Main output. This mode is called “WET ONLY”. The DRY output can be used for many purposes – for example – create a stereo effect with two amps, or split you effects chain. Another option would be to keep the dry signal plugged into a recording unit at all times.

FX Loop

The FX Loop allows you to link the PLUS Pedal with any other effects unit and use it to modify the Wet or the Dry signal separately. For example – add a tremolo unit into the FX Loop and apply it to the WET signal only. That way you can play a chord, sustain it with the PLUS pedal and it will have a nice pulsating effect, while anything you play on top will be unaffected by the tremolo.

Or you can put a Overdrive pedal into the FX Loop, set the Toggle Switch to DRY and use this setting to play clean chords, and lay overdriven fills on top of them. This is really an open platform for experimentation and we encourage you to dust off some old unused pedals and try them out in a whole new context.

Good For Living On The Edge
Size: 9-Piece, Style: Traditional Handle Design
It was past time to replace my dollar store chef knife with a decent set with a bread knife and no steak knives. I first looked at Wüsthof as I always liked that brand, but never owned any. I used a borrowed paring knife for a while and was impressed with the quality. My line cooking time is over and though I would have liked to have a set of forged Wüsthofs, the price was too much for occasional use. My favorite chef knife was a 10" wide Victorinox/Forschner until it got stolen. I replaced it with an 8" version, but it was not wide and felt very different. Still my first choice for stamped high-carbon stainless steel blades. Again, the price for a set was a bit high for use once in a while. I spotted the Amazon Basics 9-Piece Premium Kitchen Knife Block Set. Wait. A forged high carbon stainless steel knife set for that price? I read through all the reviews even the one with the picture of the broken knife, the set seems to be a good buy. Certainly better than a dollar-store knife and a few dollars more than an empty knife block. While I haven't given them a good workout on food yet, I can tell they are very good given the price. I would have liked the chef's knife to be a bit wider, but I can live with it as is. I tried the index finger and thumb holding test on the chef knife and it was comfortable, but not so much on the Santoku knife. I am new to the Santoku Knife. I guess I would hold and use it more like a cleaver. The knives all feel pretty sharp out of the box, though like nearly all new knives, they need some fine-tuning to be really sharp. Sure they are not a top-name branded knife set and if I was still a working line cook I would choose a different set, but as a casual home cook, I like these very much.

Great set of knives balanced between cost and quality
Size: 9-Piece, Style: Traditional Handle Design
I was in the market for a new set of knives because my old set, a long ago gift from my well intentioned parents, was serrated. I have also had some "fancier" knives over time as well including a Wushtof chef's knife and a Shun santoku knife. So when I started looking to replace my knife set, I started looking at various different brands. My main goal was to find a balance between the quality of the knives and the cost, as in many cases, knives can get expensive pretty quickly. I also knew that I didn't really need the steak knives that often come with these sets because we hardly entertain, which means not a significant need for steak knives. When I saw these, I thought "This can't be for real for this price..." The knives work well, offering all the sizes and types I need for basic cooking. They are balanced fairly well, and while I could see some people not liking the plastic handles rather than wood, it doesn't really bother me. They are comfortable both in my grip and also in my wife's, who has smaller hand than I do. We find them easy to work with, from meats to fruits and veggies. They feel pretty solid, and appear to be full tang knives (all one piece of metal down through the handle, not welded together). I am pretty confident they will hold up for years with regular care, all at a price that is at or below many other introductory sets of knives. The block is a basic block of solid wood, as you would expect with most knife sets. The holes for the knives aren't cut exactly to the blade sizes, but honestly it doesn't really matter that it's not exact, as all the knives are able to fit in the slots. The rubber feet keep it in place on the counter, and the block is sealed/laminated to stand up to standard kitchen wear and exposure. I would recommend this set to anyone who is looking for a good balance between quality and cost, who needs a good set of knives to get them going in the kitchen and be functional, without breaking the bank.

Excellent set at an affordable price
Size: 18-Piece, Style: Traditional Handle Design
I'm not a chef, nor a knife aficionado. My wife and I both enjoy cooking and prepare our meals at least 5 days a week. We had a medium quality knife set that was around 13 years old. Due to improper cleaning (placed in the dishwasher most of the time) the blades dulled and rust spots appeared. We decided that a high end set might be a nice gift to ourselves, and looked at the premium brands available. Being non-professionals I started to feel uncomfortable spending upwards of $300 on a knife set. I have been watching these knives for a while now, and have read countless reviews, both good and bad to help me decide if these are worth getting. Having purchased other Amazon Basic items I felt that these were a safe bet, and if I were unhappy I could easily return them. Upon arrival the knifes looked fantastic. They were very nicely packaged and easy to safely unpack. The block was in perfect condition (some reported cracks upon arrival). I inspected the knives and all appeared to be in perfect condition showing no dings, burrs or warping. After a quick hand wash and dry I placed them all in the block. I did have a slight issue with one of the steak knife slots not fully cleared and preventing the knife from sliding all the way down. I was easily able to clear it using an old steak knife as there was only a wood chip stuck in the slot. I have used the knives about every day for the past 2 weeks and so far the are great to use. Very comfortable, super sharp and they clean up well. The only issue I have had is the Scissors come apart very easily, I've had them fall apart while using them twice already. I will see about adjusting the tension on the connection, but honestly the scissor is not very important to me and I don't mind replacing them with higher quality kitchen scissors if need be. Overall we are very happy with this purchase and I expect that with proper cleaning these knives will last a very long time.

Forged Knives at a Stamped-Knife Price
Size: 18-Piece, Style: Traditional Handle Design
Purchased as a gift for a friend suffering with an old, rusted, chipped set of cheap big-box knives. As far as I can tell, these are one-piece forged/milled knives with a full tang... no idea how Amazon gets them so cheap. I have a set of J.A. Henckels Four-Star that were 5x the price, and these knives are almost as nice in fitment and quality. Some of the grinds at the bolster aren't quite symmetrical, but nothing that functionally affects the knife. Not show-dogs, just old reliable mutts that get you where you need to be. Knives have a good weight and balance, not too heavy but sit well in the hand and have a nice action. The edge out of the box is only average, and the chef's knife had a decent roll to the edge out of the box. However, they sharpen easily and can take a fine edge with a little work with the steel (no word on edge longevity yet, they don't cook that often). The shears come apart for cleaning (which is nice), although I found it a little too unstable when opening them wide, the rivet is at 90* so when taking a big bite they have a tendency to come apart rather than scissor. Changing to a design that doesn't separate until they're fully open would make them much better. The woodblock is pine, and had a distinct pine scent out of the box (I suppose this is an area where they saved money, I would pay a premium to get a bamboo block instead). The exterior was well-finished, but the interiors of the knife slots did have some rough spots and/or splinters from the milling. Nothing that stops it from working as intended, a little back and forth solved the majority of problems. Friend hand washed them after receiving them, but left them damp. Water spots, but no rust on any of the blades, the steel had light surface rust that came off with a scrubby sponge and soap. Overall I remain optimistic they will stand up to the abuse of a forgetful cook. Having bought expensive German steel, and now these, I daresay I would probably be unable to tell the difference between the two in the kitchen.

This is an inexpensive quality knife set!
Size: 18-Piece, Style: Traditional Handle Design, Size: 18-Piece, Style: Traditional Handle Design
I have been a Chef for 17 yrs. and from experience know you don't get quality in an inexpensive knife set. This AmazonBasics Premium set really impressed me. The knives I use and have at home are mixed matched because I like good hefty knives. My wife always rags on me that the knives look crappy, so I got on here and started reading reviews. I was not gonna spend alot of money on a set knowing that I have good knives already. Then I saw this set, and looked at the video. I got them in TWO days, and when I opened the package I was expecting the block to be split, chipped, or have saw marks. As you can see the one I got was flawless. I then took out the chefs knife and smiled. Easily comparable to a 8" Zwilling JA Henckels Pro Traditional Chefs Knife. It has the same quality, heft, and balance. TRUST ME I KNOW!!!! Beautiful knife. The thickness of the blade is equal to my Victorinox Fibrox Chefs Knife and I paid $45. for that knife alone!!! This here is a quality product at a good price. Treat them with respect and they will last for YEARS. If your looking for a good complete set, a nice wedding gift, of just looking to replace the "crappy" set you have look no further.
