The Birdsville 1400 is an innovative hybrid roof top tent, part of OZtrail's exclusive overlander range evolving out of 30 years of Australian shelter development to make adventure easier and more comfortable.
Combining the best of hard shell and soft shell roof top tents, the Birdsville 1400 is lightweight and compact, with the added functionality of an aluminium pack top with included roof bars for extra roof top cargo. The extended fly over the entry makes it easy to access in bad weather, so you and your tent stay dry. Constructed from heavy duty 280gsm Ripstop canvas and a 210D polyoxford fly, it's robust and will keep you warm and dry.
You'll sleep well on the 60mm memory foam mattress with removable, washable luxe comfort flannel cover, and the included anti-condensation mat promotes airflow under the mattress to help prevent moisture and mould. OZtrail's Lumos technology makes it easy to light up your tent with flexible LED strip lighting, and when you turn out the lights the two SkyMesh panels provide the perfect view of the stars. Large windows, doors and SkyMesh roof panels make it easy to manage ventilation and temperature to keep you comfortable all year round.

Extremely Overpriced

It doesn’t hold charge too long , especially if it’s not on a perfectly bright sunny day without clouds. Even at that , It will only be able to light up for maybe two or three hours at best , and not very bright at all. Construction and materials are of good quality that’s why the one start or else zi would gave given a zero if i could. it is way overpriced for what it is. I am disappointed for what I paid and the amount of production I get from it. Would have returned it if I haven’t installed them and threw away the boxes.

Very durable and designed to last a long time

I've had a pair of these lights for 7-8 years and would still be using them with no issues if a naughty racoon hadn't taken an interest in them and broken the glass on one of them. I was delighted to find that the identical looking ones (operate slightly differently) were still available.
They are extremely simple to put together (just screw together the durable metal pieces) and turn them on to the chosen brightness. It couldn't be much simpler.
I also have other Gama Sonic solar lights and they are every bit as good.
