The Maelstrom is an extra-large rain tarp offering 360-degrees of protection from the wind, rain, and snow. It can be set up at ground level to limit the airflow, or higher in the air to maximize the space underneath. It can be used in a variety of different settings, for example, with a hammock hanging on trees, or as a ground shelter using trekking poles.
360-DEGREES OF COVERAGE
With over 94 sq ft of coverage and its closing doors, the Maelstrom Tarp is a storm-ready shelter. It can effectively replace a tent canopy and protect 2-3 persons when staked at ground level.
ULTRALIGHT MATERIAL
Our 20 Denier diamond ripstop silicone impregnated polyester fabric is the perfect ultralight waterproof material for a tarp. It packs real small and weighs only about 550g or 19oz.
STORM PROOF
Our polyurethane coating, rated 2000mm, further helps make the Maelstrom impermeable to rain, wind, or snow. The center seam is sealed with waterproof tape against leaks.
REINFORCED TENSION POINTS
All 10 corners are reinforced, providing durability against high winds and stormy weather. Integrated metal ring create a secure opening for trekking poles.
VELCRO FOR LINES STORAGE
A velcro system at each corner allows to roll and store the tension lines when not in use to prevent mixing the cords.
NO KNOTS, NO PROBLEM
No more endless knots in the rain. The Maelstrom's new knotless ridge line system makes setup easy, quick and adjustable.
STRONG Y-STAKES

BEST MAKEUP EVERRRR!!!

Love this! Blends into natural skin color so well. Coverage is great without looking cakey or like heavy makeup but evens out skin tone and lasts all day. Doesn’t dry my skin. I’m 50+ and don’t even use moisturizer before applying. Apply with fingers and use a brush with powder and again, lasts all day! I don’t use anything else.
However I do NOT like their color sciencepowder. It’s horrible. But I love the Younique pressed powder with it. Bought on a whim to get spf and so glad I did. Tried It brand and some others and none compares!

Almost a home run

Initially I really loved how this sunscreen made my skin look. The tint provided enough coverage to even my skin tone and hide my remaining melasma. It gives a very nice glow that doesn’t look too greasy. I have dry skin, and this was moisturizing enough for summer; although I would probably need a moisturizer first in winter.
After using this product for many weeks however, I realized that it leaves residue on my hair making it feel chalky and dry. I’ve tried different techniques of washing my hands really well after so I don’t spread residue to my hair when I fix it, but I found it still made it’s way into my bangs. I even tried pulling my hair back and wait an hour before putting it down but inevitably my hair got this dirty chalky feel to it. It makes me feel dirty which is enough to deter me from wanting to use it exclusively.
I wanted to use a tinted physical sunscreen to stop the pigmentation to my melasma, but I just prefer how chemical sunscreens feel. I started to use this over my cheekbones after I apply my chemical sunscreen to help deflect blue light, but I think going forward I’ll just purchase a more affordable option if it is going to be used on such a small area.

Great option for a natural finished look

I have been using Colorscience Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Original color for over 5 years. I love that the color blends with your skin so well and provides a natural looking finish.
It does not cover all of my dark spots or defects, but it makes my natural skin look better. The finish is soft and silky and the 50 helps protect my skin from additional sun damage. If you are looking for a more natural finish, this is a great choice.
