What is the inspiration for Dr. DuPree's second book?
The art of driving a stick shift is a skill that has been lost for the most part as our lives have become so automated. Technological advancements are amazing in so many aspects of our lives, but high tech is not always the best solution to a health issue. Unfortunately the automation of healthcare, with our pill for the ill mentality, is in many ways killing us. We focus on treating symptoms and are missing the opportunity to address the root cause of disease. She believes that it is time to ‘shift gears’ in healthcare. Enjoy every page of her life’s story as she shifts gears from automatic medical care to identify the root cause of disease.
