This complete 1994 Doctor Who foil card set brings together all seven foil cards issued by Cornerstone Communications, officially licensed by the BBC 🧬 The set includes every foil card produced for the series, spanning two distinct distribution formats: foil inserts and a direct‑order specialty card.

For collectors who did not obtain the original factory direct‑order set at the time of release, assembling all seven foil cards together was not possible through pack opening alone.

🤖 Daleks Foil Insert Cards (Cards 1–3)

Cards 1–3 feature the Daleks and were issued as true foil inserts, randomly distributed inside sealed factory trading card packs 🤖 These are not base cards. Each card features a reflective foil finish that enhances the Daleks’ stark, mechanical design and clearly distinguishes them from non‑foil cards in the series.

Together, these cards explore the Daleks as a concept rooted in authoritarian logic, technological extremism, and the loss of individuality — themes that have defined their role in Doctor Who since their earliest appearances.

⚙️ Cybermen Foil Insert Cards (Cards 4–6)

Cards 4–6 feature the Cybermen and complete the foil insert portion of the set ⚙️ Like the Daleks cards, these were randomly inserted into sealed packs and produced with the same high‑quality foil application and rigid card stock.

Across these three cards, the Cybermen are presented as a fully realized scientific and philosophical concept, shaped by the medical and technological thinking of co‑creator Dr. Kit Pedler. The set traces their visual evolution while preserving the elements that made them instantly recognizable and unsettling.

🧬 Davros Direct‑Order Foil (Card 7)

Card 7 features Davros, the creator of the Daleks, and was issued separately as part of a direct‑order specialty release 🧬 Unlike the foil inserts, this card was never pack‑distributed and was only available to collectors who ordered the complete set directly from Cornerstone.

🔗 Why This Is the Complete Foil Set

The 1994 Cornerstone Doctor Who release included only seven foil cards. Six were randomly inserted into packs, while the seventh — Davros — was reserved for direct‑order distribution 🔒

As a result, collectors who relied solely on pack opening could never complete the foil set without acquiring the direct‑order card separately. This structure makes intact, uncirculated complete foil sets uncommon today, particularly when all cards remain in original New Old Stock condition.

🏭 Cornerstone Production Quality (1990s)

Cornerstone Communications’ Doctor Who cards from the early to mid‑1990s are well regarded by collectors for their physical quality 🏭 These cards were produced on thick, rigid card stock with clean, well‑bonded foil application that avoids the flaking, bubbling, or dulling seen in lower‑quality foil programs of the era.

Printing and registration are sharp, with strong contrast and crisp text — hallmarks of a BBC‑licensed product manufactured to higher standards than many contemporaneous non‑sports releases.

📦 Condition & Preservation

All seven cards in this set are New Old Stock, taken directly from original factory sources and never circulated 📦 They remain in pack‑fresh condition, with clean surfaces, sharp edges, and intact foil finishes.

🏛️ Collecting Significance

• Complete 7‑card foil program • Daleks, Cybermen, and Davros represented • Two distinct distribution formats • Original 1994 issues • Factory‑correct composition • Rarely preserved together in uncirculated condition

For collectors seeking the definitive 1994 Doctor Who foil experience, this complete set represents the full scope of Cornerstone’s foil program — historically accurate, narratively complete, and preserved as originally intended.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
