Maranta Kerchoveana Variegata, the variegated prayer plant
Maranta kerchoveana 'Variegata' , also known as the variegated prayer plant, is a rare variety from the Marantaceae family, native to the rainforests of Brazil. This rhizomatous plant remains compact, generally reaching 20 to 30 cm in height at maturity, making it an ideal choice for small indoor spaces. Maranta is one of the few houseplants with nyctinastic leaf movement, meaning its leaves naturally stand upright at dusk and unfurl at dawn.
Its striking variegated foliage is distinguished by soft green hues interspersed with cream and ivory-white marbling, often with a pinkish underside. Each oval leaf reveals unique asymmetrical patterns, making this tropical plant with decorative foliage a true botanical masterpiece. Its nocturnal behavior, inherited from its native forest habitat , gives this Maranta a lively and vibrant presence every day.
Adopt the Maranta Kerchoveana Variegata today and give your interior exceptional graphic foliage, delivered directly to your home.
