Suhr Buffer Pedal - Transparent Signal Buffer/Line Driver

If you know anything about Suhr, then you know that the quality of their products are held to the highest standards. Even down to their Buffer Pedal. The Suhr Buffer is built with the highest quality components on the market, such as audiophile Op-Amps, Glass Epoxy PCB, even a custom machined billet aluminum enclosure.

The Suhr Buffer is a transparent signal buffer/line driver which is an essential tool designed to preserve your instrument's tone. Tone loss occurs as a result of signal degradation, commonly caused by long cable run, or the use of multiple instrument cables - such as you would find on a pedal board. To solve this, the Suhr Buffer employs unity buffering to reverse the effects of capacitance without affecting your instruments tone or output level.

Placement:
Suhr recommends placing this buffer as the first pedal in your signal chain, but if you're running any Fuzz pedals or Tone Benders they recommend placing this pedal after those pedals.

Features, Inputs & Outputs:
This buffer features two independent outputs:Standard output to amp or effects and ISO (Isolated), which uses a transformer to eliminate ground noise and features a 180 degree Phase Inverter switch to keep your pedals in phase while connecting to another amp or PA system.

Operation:
DC INLET: Use a compatible 9-18Vdc with a center negative power supply.
INPUT: Instrument Input, use this jack to connect to your instrument.
OUTPUT: Primary output, use this jack to connect to an amplifier or effect device.
ISO OUTPUT (transformer isolated): Secondary output, use this to split your instrument's signal to an additional amplifier or sound source.
PHASE SWITCH: The Phase Switch reverses the polarity of the Buffer's ISO Output by 180 degrees. Activate this switch to keep both output sources in phase.
OUT: Normal (non-reversed)
IN: Signals phase reversed by 180

Edging made easy
Size: 9 inches
Surprised how well this works. I was looking for no cord for long driveway. The battery takes a bit to fully charge, but lasts for the entire job. The levels for depth make edging around d flower beds or raised beds easy- not really a trench, but gives a good edge. Lightweight and easy to manage. Definitely lighter than my corded edger. The blade is sensitive and the guide to keep it steady along concrete is not great- just need to make sure you watch closely or it will spark when it hits the concrete.

Works well, a little under powered
Size: 9 inches
Works well, a little under powered when I used it for the first time. Once you get the groove established it works great to maintain it

It’s junk
Size: 9 inches
Deserves a zero. Like some others said on here, it runs for 3 seconds and just stops with battery fully charged. I got it for Christmas so too late to return. More China junk.

Great price, does a good job
Size: 9 inches
I’m mostly old. School when it comes to yard equipment. A gas engine has got to be better than a battery . I have  a weed eater that will take out a tree but makes a lousy edger. Since I  don’t have a large lawn, I gave this guy a try. Turns out it does a pretty good job. Can’t beat the price and it’s simple to use. Be aware, this vendor sells the unit only. They have no spare parts and you will need to source replacement blades. ( they supply 1 spare). Otherwise, worth a try. John J Why did you pick this product vs others?: A cheap price and a limited need.

Not too bad for the price
Size: 9 inches
I was skeptical if an edger as cheap as this one would do the job at all. I figured if it worked at all it might be worth the price. I was surprised be it is actually pretty good. I have a medium sized area. Just one driveway and about 30 feet of sidewalk. I will use it four or five times a summer and I expect it will last for a few years. It hold a charge enough for my needs. If you have a large driveway or plan on using it every day, you will probably be disappointed. But if you have a small area to do, its not bad.
