Non-GMO Creeping Thyme Thymus serpyllum seeds in compostable Kraft pouch. Very low growing ground cover (about 2-4") with a flexible woody stem and small leaves blooming pink to purple flowers from July to August. Creeping Thyme prefers sandy or loam soil and full sun to produce the most flowers but will grow fine in lower light conditions with just a bit fewer flowers. Creeping thyme is slow to get going so don’t expect to see much of anything in the first season, but once established, it puts on a show!

Also available in an easy to spread shaker container with organic compost and soil builders, see Creeping Thyme Easy Spread Shaker.
  • Non-GMO Seeds – Premium Thymus serpyllum seeds, free from genetically modified additives for natural growth.

  • Eco-Friendly Packaging – Comes in a compostable Kraft pouch, reducing waste and environmental impact.

  • Low-Growing Groundcover – Mature plants stay about 2–4″ tall (blooming up to 4–6″) to create a lush, carpet-like landscape.

  • Attractive Pink-Purple Blooms – Produces delicate flowers from summer to fall, adding color and beauty to lawns and gardens.

  • Versatile Growing Conditions – Thrives in full sun to partial shade, and does well in sandy, silt, or loamy soils. Don't plant in clay.

  • Drought-Tolerant & Low Maintenance – Once established, it requires minimal watering and upkeep, making it ideal for low-maintenance landscapes.

  • Pollinator Friendly – Provides nectar and pollen for bees and other beneficial insects, supporting local ecosystems.

  • Ideal for Lawn Substitution or Overseeding – Great for replacing traditional grass or mixing with grass and clover for a flowering lawn.

  • Growth Expectations – Germinates in about 3–4 weeks with proper watering; full groundcover and blooms may take longer to establish.

  • Planting Tips Included – Best results when paired with spreader tools to help evenly distribute very small seeds and avoid clumping.

Spreading seeds by hand is a learned art and must be done carefully to ensure even application and complete coverage. These seeds are extremely small and difficult to spread evenly by hand. Hand application often leads to clumping and over-seeding. For best results, use a bulking agent or carrier such as compost, sand, or sawdust. Our Easy Spread Shakers and our Easy Spread Bulk Containers include organic compost and soil builders to help spread the seeds easily.

  • Better For Your Family & The Environment -- Our specialty flowering lawn seed is kid and pet friendly. It attracts beneficial pollinators while reducing your property's carbon footprint!
  • Reduce Maintenance Costs -- Creeping Thyme reduces the need to mow. Once your flowering lawn is established, it won't require watering, except in periods of extended drought.
  • What To Expect When Using Flawn Seed -- With regular watering, Creeping Thyme will germinate in 3-4 weeks, and plants will be small for the first couple of months. After the first growing season, it will bloom low-growing pink flowers about 2-4” from July to September. Creating a vital nectar and pollen source for our friendly pollinators. Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is critical for success.
  • Pure Flower Seeds -- Unlike other brands, Flawn Seed doesn't use grass seed fillers. Flowering seeds have longer germination periods and mature slower than grasses. Mature flowering lawns with many blooms can take up to 6-24 months to fully establish, especially in thicker grass lawns that have been heavily fertilized in the past.

Seeding Information:

When to Seed: Spring, late summer, or early fall when rains are frequent and temperatures are moderate. Do not seed if a frost is forecast. Can also be dormant seeded on frozen ground.

Site Preparation: Mow at .5-1", remove clippings and rake any additional thatch. The soil must be visible and loosened up before seeding or seed will likely not grow.

Watering: Lightly water after seeding to start germination process. Prevent soil from completely drying out for a period of 1-2 weeks, then water as needed if seedlings start wilting.

Mowing: Maintain a height of 3" for the first year. This prevents the grass and any weeds from crowding out the baby Flawn seedlings.

Fertilizer: For lawns that have not been fertilized recently it may be beneficial to apply a low nitrogen organic fertilizer 2-3 months after seeding such as a 8-0-4 or similar.

Weed Control: It is best to remove excessive weeds by hand or natural methods before seeding. After seeding, remove unwanted weeds as desired. WARNING: Do not broadcast apply weed killers as they will kill the plants.

Great For Dry Hair
I've never tried Batana Oil before, so I had no idea what to expect. It's a great oil for my hair. I love that it is all-natural oil and is more like a paste. It spreads easily on my hair. I love that I can put a tiny bit on my finger and rub it directly into my dry scalp. The oil has an interesting but pleasant smell. It's hard to describe. It reminds me a bit of a cross between coffee and cacao, but more nutty and mild. I like it. It's not too strong. The directions say to apply and leave in for 20 minutes, then wash out with a sulfate-free shampoo. I like to leave it in my hair for a day or two before washing it again. It's a great conditioning oil for dry and damaged hair. It might feel heavy on fine or thin hair, but I like it on my medium-thick hair. The only reason I dropped this a star is that I'm dubious of the claim that it promotes hair growth. I think it helps my dry hair from breaking off, but I don't think it can do much for most hair loss. However, for hair conditioning, this is definitely a five star product.

Single-ingredient moisturizing treatment with a pleasant smell
When this is described as "batana oil," that's exactly what it is. Not a dozen other ingredients with just a little bit of batana, no colors or fragrances, just batana oil. I love that about this. It's easy to use, just melt it into you hands and massage it into your scalp and hair. Folks with long hair would do well to concentrate on the ends since that's where you're less likely to get natural oil from your scalp to help keep the hair healthy. Leave it in for a bit, then wash it off in the shower with shampoo. Not at all complicated. I loved how my scalp felt afterward, definitely less itchy and "tight." as far as regrowing any hair or anything, I think the only thing that would help me is a miracle, so I'm not basing my review on that. The smell is nutty and very nice. Similar to the roasty notes of coffee or chocolate. Very pleasant and not "chemical" or perfumey smelling.

Nice Scent but Too Early to See Results
I’ve just started using this batana oil, so it’s too early to say if it actually helps with hair growth or thickness. I’ll need to use it consistently for a while before seeing real results. So far, I do like the smell—it has a nice scent and doesn’t feel overwhelming. The oil itself feels nourishing and easy to apply to the scalp and hair. The size is decent for the price, but like most hair treatments, the effectiveness will really depend on long-term use. Pros: Pleasant scent Feels nourishing on hair and scalp Easy to apply Cons: Too early to tell results Overall, it seems promising, but you’ll need to give it time to see if it actually delivers on the hair growth claims.
