It typically grows 24 to 36 inches tall indoors. Adored by generations of houseplant owners for its ease of growth, this variety won the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society of the UK in 1993 and is still popular today. This species is native to areas of Western Africa and is often enjoyed in planters in decks and patios in addition to its common use as a houseplant.
