Our Berry Fertilizer 8-12-12 is a premium blended fertilizer formulated specifically for berry plants. With an ideal nutrient ratio for strong root development and heavy fruit production, this mix ensures your berry plants get exactly what they need at the right time.

The 8% nitrogen fuels early season growth, helping plants establish lush, sturdy foliage. The 12% phosphorus supports vigorous root expansion and boosts bloom and fruit set — a must for blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries. With 12% potassium, this blend strengthens plant structure, improves drought tolerance, and enhances overall fruit quality.

This formula contains a targeted blend of muriate of potash, potassium sulfate, and potassium nitrate to give berry plants an immediately available and long-lasting source of potash. It also includes a robust micronutrient package with calcium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, manganese, zinc, and copper, strengthening plant health and preventing common deficiencies that limit berry yield and flavor.

This fertilizer is easy to apply and provides predictable, dependable nutrition for berry growers of all experience levels. Whether you're growing in rows, raised beds, or a backyard berry patch, this 8-12-12 blend delivers powerful results.

Berry Fertilizer Use Recommendations

For best results, apply the fertilizer uniformly around each plant. Adjust the rate based on plant size and age:

Application Rates

  • LOW Rate: Use for newly planted berries and small plugs.
Low = ½ teaspoon per plant

  • MEDIUM Rate: Use for plants that have been established 1–2 years.
Medium = 1 tablespoon per plant

  • HIGH Rate: Use for large, well-established plants.
High = 4 tablespoons per plant

How to Apply

  • Sprinkle the recommended amount evenly around the base of each plant.

  • Lightly work the fertilizer into the top 1–2 inches of soil.

  • Water thoroughly after application to activate nutrients.

Seasonal Timing

  • At Planting: Use LOW rates for young plants or plugs being transplanted.

  • Early Season: Apply MEDIUM rates once plants begin active growth.

  • During Fruiting: Apply HIGH rates to support fruit load, size, and flavor.

  • Repeat: Every 4–6 weeks throughout the growing season as needed.

Container Berry Plants

  • Apply ½ tablespoon per gallon of container size (e.g., 2–3 tbsp for a 5-gallon pot).

  • Mix into the soil surface and water well.

Comprehensive, clear and coherent!
Format: Paperback
The iTEP Practice Guide combines a no-nonsense approach to the specific iTEP tests and at the same time offers exercises that task the student with what they need to know. Exercises not only serve the purpose of scoring well, but the overall approach is communicative competence. We use the text in our group and one-to-one classes with very positive--and lasting--results.

No recomiendo
Format: Paperback

A Textbook for My Students
Format: Kindle
I'm an adjunct instructor for several institutions where I teach adults how to design and develop software using various IDEs and languages. As a former military officer, I've come to appreciate the idea of ensuring my troops have all the training and gear they'll need to get the job done. Patrick exemplifies that spirit in his series, "From Zero to Proficiency." After reading his first two books in the series, I've decided that I'll use them in the Fall term to teach my students game development with Unity. The lessons are easy to follow, yet provide powerful impact upon game development. I've never come across any other author who continues to provide weekly support to his readers and Patrick Felicia does. He even solicits us to learn what we'd like for him to teach next. If you want to learn Unity from someone who actually knows how to teach it, I recommend his books. I read a lot of technical books, so I seriously appreciate it when an author can clearly convey knowledge in an easy-going manner that is technically correct. I'm very happy with these books and am sure my students will be too.

Step by Step
Format: Kindle
This series of books has step by step instructions that are easy to follow. There are lots of pictures to verify you are doing things correctly. I have done three books in this series so far (Foundations, Beginner, and Platform). Before starting the books, I had some coding background, but no experience with Unity. Each book covers a manageable amount of information. There is so much to learn, but the author does well to stick to key points to not make the reader feel overwhelmed.

Seriously needs a proofreader
Format: Paperback
The content in this series is good, but the presentation is in need of a proofreader. There are so many typos and wrong words (ignoring that it's UK English). It's like the author typed what he heard in his head, but the words are something different. For example, a section introduces the "Package Manager," which is then inconsistently called the "Packet Manager." Or "research term" instead of "search term." Or "PlayGround" in the text when it's clearly "playground" in the figure. Even the provided resources are misspelled: "Sdandard Assets" in the code and the screenshots in the book. How does this go unnoticed? Programming isn't tolerant of these things.
