Red Volunteer Daylily is one of many Oakes Introductions and a favorite of garden visitors and past customers. Known for its large, velvety red blooms, Red Volunteer Daylily is popular among gardeners for its easy care, long blooming period, and adaptability.

Each flower features a bold, ruby-red hue with a yellow throat, creating a striking contrast that draws the eye. The blooms, which can reach 7" in diameter, appear on tall, sturdy stalks that can grow to 30", making them a standout in any landscape.

Red Volunteer Daylily is consistently at the top of the Popularity Poll and was runner up for the Stout Medal. From the illegal purging of voter registrations, to gerrymandering, to voter intimidation, Anderson offers up the facts of the racist policies that look to keep elections in the hands of white patriarchy and suppress its opponents. While Anderson sometimes resorts to some typical metaphors in her rhetoric (false comparisons to Stalin, for example, or Orwell name drops) that could too easily be cherry-picked by dull-minded opponents looking to poke holes in an otherwise fine case of what should be enraging us into action.
