A Sugar Kettle Water Fountain Masterpiece
The Sugar Kettle Water Fountain by Blue Thumb is a beautifully hand-molded cast iron bowl that's an authentic replica of those used in the processing of sugarcane. Water fills the bowl and cascades over all sides into the subsurface basin for recirculation, creating beautiful focal points of sight and sound from all directions.
Complete Kit Includes: Sugar Kettle with attached bulkhead and water diffuser, Kettle Support Ring, subsurface basin, Splash Apron (photo in gallery), high-efficiency pump, auto-fill/float device, anti-splash mat, coupler, shims, intake & discharge assemblies, tubing. Basins: Round 51.5" diameter for S/M/L Kettles, and 52.5" Square for XL Kettle.

Photo in gallery. The splash apron acts as a "funnel" to help prevent water loss when it splashes outside of the fountain's designated area. This, in turn, reduces the frequency of refilling the water basin. The splash apron can be installed after the fountain is setup and is most commonly used with the XL size.
Tips from the Engineer team:
- Make sure the ground is sloped back towards the basin so the splash apron can direct water back into it.
- Ensure the apron overlaps the side of the basin and allows water to return properly.
