Good for beginners? Yes. Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma is one of the easiest fenestrated aroids to grow. It adapts to a range of conditions, grows fast enough to show clear progress, and is forgiving of imperfect care.

Light needs: Bright indirect light produces the fastest growth and the most pronounced leaf splits. It tolerates medium light but fenestrations may be less dramatic. Avoid direct sun and very low light.
Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer. Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage climbing — it produces larger, more dramatic leaves when given something to climb. Trim as needed to control size.
