The Okatsune 103 is the ideal pruning shears for precision and power:

These Japanese pruning shears are made of the best IZUMO YASUGI steel, resulting in blades with a high hardness of 60–61 Rockwell. This ensures that the blades stay sharp for a long time and make a sharp, precise cut in the wood, without having to use much force. Thanks to the combination of hardness and flexibility, the blade always fits well on the counterblade, even with intensive use.
The blade is ground in two angles for a smooth cut with minimal damage to the plant. The unique hollow-ground shape of the blade ensures that sap flows away from the leaf and prevents the blades from separating. The V-shaped spring distributes the load evenly, so that the shears always close smoothly.
The blades are easy to sharpen with the Okatsune whetstone (Okatsune 412). The shears have a locking system that can be operated with one hand. Do not forget to order a leather holster. This holster with belt loop offers a safe way to always keep your pruning shears at hand, and extends the lifespan of the shears. The shears are forged from the same Japanese steel that is used for the legendary Samurai swords, allowing you to effortlessly prune branches up to 25 mm in diameter.
