Good for beginners? Yes. Peace Lily is remarkably easy to care for and communicates clearly when it needs water by drooping slightly. Once watered it recovers within hours. It is a great choice for anyone new to plants.

Light needs: Low to medium indirect light. One of the best flowering plants for lower-light rooms. Bright indirect light encourages more frequent blooming. Avoid direct sun which will scorch the leaves.

Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry or when it begins to droop slightly. It recovers quickly after watering. Feed monthly in spring and summer to encourage blooming. Wipe leaves occasionally to keep them glossy.
