It's a rare succulent that looks spectacular with stacked and folded leaves at the edges that form a square-shaped column. The columns can reach a height of 6 inches (15 cm) and a width of 1.6 inches (4 cm), with branches growing from the sides. Leaves are flat, heart-shaped, silvery-grey to grayish-green, and covered with a powdery coating. This succulent is edgy and unusual, making it a perfect addition to any planter or rock garden.
  
  It can be grown as a small-scale groundcover, or on hanging basket due to its branching habit.
  
  Flowers are pink to nearly white and appear in compact rounded clusters, usually in spring and summer.
