He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.

This book primarily shows you how to use the tools, which are illustrated mainly through screenshots of the tools' screens and results. This is a well-structured lab manual that guides you through all the necessary screens and steps to locate the flag. However, there are too many screenshots, and the concept is not explained in detail. It is expected that you will have a basic understanding to follow the lab manual. And this is not colour printing, and the photo was resized, making it a bit hard to read the screenshot details. If you are at the GREM level, you may already be familiar with using the tools. Unless you want a quick refresher on your lab skills.
