Product Description:
An evergreen woody shrub in desert and tropical areas but capable of being an herbaceous, perennial in temperate zones; African Ashwagandha shares the same characteristics as Vedic Ashwagandha but differs in its large leaf size and quicker growth. Belonging to the nightshade family it produces green berries encased in lantern like pods that mature to a pretty bright red. You know the seed pods are mature when the calyx becomes transparent showing the berry within.
Origination: India but naturalized in Africa
Height: 2 to 3’ high and wide
Hardiness: Herbaceous, perennial in zones 8 and up. Hardy to 15.

Other Names: Ubuvimbho in South Africa
Maturity: 200 days but can be done in 100 days as an annual
Please try to understand that most of these plants are not garden center plants. They are wild perennial plants that will go dormant at certain times of the year. We do not have a set up that allows us to grow year-round so we have to grow with the seasons. If you buy a plant out of season, I will typically still send it because it is a perennial plant and will grow again when the climate allows it to grow again. I will never send out a declining annual plant unless I contact you first. Though most of these are easy to grow, they are NOT all beginner plants. This statement applies to medicinal plants, herbs, and some vegetables – not so much succulents, hoyas and cacti, though they go dormant too, they usually still look the same and don’t decline during dormancy. If you are unsure when a plant grows best or goes dormant, please don't hesitate to ask me. They don't all go dormant at the same time here in Jacksonville, Fl. I can't speak for anywhere else though with certainty.
You will receive a plant that is very similar to the plants pictured, however, they may have grown some, or, depending on the time of year, they could be semi-dormant. Ships in a 3" pot. We put great care into packaging our plants and problems have been VERY rare, but due to the nature of the items shipped, it is possible for leaves or small stems to bend or break in transit but generally this is only cosmetic, and the plant will recover once watered and placed in a bright location (But not direct sun since they just came out of the box!). If your plant arrives rotting or dead, we will replace it for you. Please contact me with photo proof within 24 hours of delivery of your plants. It is my commitment to provide you with a live, healthy plant. Please note that minor cosmetic damage, such as a few broken leaves or small stems, may occur during transit and is a common risk inherent in the shipping process. After 24 hours, my job is done and it is up to you (The buyer) to know how to keep it alive. I have only grown plants in Florida and will send out anything I feel comfortable will grow here. In other words, it is up to you to know the conditions that these plants grow in the part of the country you reside.
Heat packs are available for purchase with your item to use if cold weather is expected at the time of shipment. (Link to Heat Pack: bit.ly/40ugd4J ) Keep in mind some plants we carry are very tropical and even cold, not freezing, temperatures can kill them. Tasty sugar free treat!
My sister is about to begin chemotherapy and her oncologist shared that hard sugar free candies that contain xylitol would be very helpful with the dry mouth chemo is likely to create. I ordered these for her and she says they are delicious! Good natural fruit flavor…tasty for anyone who wants a better quality, healthier (in moderation) sweet treat now and then. Arrived promptly and container was undamaged.

It helps with dry mouth!
These really help with dry mouth and the flavors taste good. It doesn't come in a plastic container like the picture which was disappointing. And it is a little expensive but it is a good variety but I do think it would look better in the box shown here instead of in a box. I poured in in another bag.

Less flavor than the pops. Very disappointing.
I bought these after trying the lollipop type of the same brand. Honestly? I was disappointed in the lack of flavor in yhe drops versus the lollipop style. The reason I purchased the drops was because I do not like dealing with the stick of the pop and just wanted the sucker part of the candy. I thought being the same flavors that they would have the same taste. They do not. The drops have much less enjoyable flavor and are quite bland in comparison to the lollipop style. I guess I'm sticking with dealing with the stick to get any good flavor.
I also wish the variety of the flavors in both the Zollipops and Zolli Drops was more evenly distributed. The orange are my favorite flavor and the ratio is low compared to the pink or purple and less flavorful pieces. Anyway, just my 2 cents on the difference I noticed between the two variations of the same product.
