A true must-have for aroid collectors, the Monstera adansonii ‘Variegata’ dazzles with its striking green-and-white marbled leaves and signature fenestrations (“holes”) that give it the beloved Swiss cheese look. Growing Tips & Care Guide
-
Light: Bright, indirect light is best to maintain strong variegation. Avoid harsh direct sunlight which can burn the white leaf portions.
-
Water: Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry; keep slightly more moist during active growth seasons (spring/summer).
-
Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity (60%+).
-
Temperature: Prefers 65–80°F; avoid cold drafts.
-
Soil: Well-draining potting mix with added perlite or orchid bark for aeration.
-
Feeding: Fertilize monthly in the growing season with a balanced, diluted fertilizer.
-
Growth Habit: Climbing plant—encourage larger leaf fenestrations by training it upward.
-
Toxicity: Toxic to pets if ingested.
