Grow abundant, versatile greens with Fordhook Giant Swiss Chard Seeds from Survival Garden Seeds. This classic heirloom variety produces broad, glossy green leaves with thick white stems and a mild, tender flavor that works well in both fresh and cooked dishes. Known for its dependable yields and forgiving nature, Fordhook Giant is a staple crop for home gardeners seeking steady, nutritious harvests from early spring through late fall.

Adaptable to a wide range of conditions, Fordhook Giant tolerates light frost and summer heat, making it a practical choice for many climates. The plants reach about 18 inches tall with a broad spread, thriving in raised beds, containers, or traditional garden rows.

Why Grow Fordhook Giant Swiss Chard

  • Large, tender leaves with crisp white stems ideal for salads, sautés, steaming, and freezing
  • Reliable growth and high productivity from spring through fall
  • Cut-and-come-again habit provides continuous fresh greens
  • Performs well in cool and warm weather, tolerating mild frost and heat
  • Compact enough for containers yet robust enough for high-yield garden beds
  • Non-GMO, heirloom, open-pollinated seeds for sustainable gardening

How to Grow
Direct sow outdoors 2–3 weeks before the last frost or start indoors and transplant once the soil is workable. Cover seeds lightly and keep soil evenly moist. Germination typically occurs in 7–14 days at 50–85°F. Fordhook Giant grows best in full sun to partial shade with loamy, well-drained soil. Harvest baby greens early for tender leaves, or allow plants to mature in 55–65 days for large, substantial bunches. Regular cutting encourages steady regrowth throughout the season.

Harvest & Use
Pick young leaves for fresh salads or smoothies. Mature leaves and thick stems hold up well to sautéing, steaming, or preserving. This dependable crop provides a long season of nutritious greens that fit into everyday meals.

Lightweight and Easy-to-Assemble
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
These privacy screens are three separate panels, which is really convenient if you don’t need to use all of them at once. I’m currently using two to section off part of my craft room for storage, and it’s working perfectly. They’re lightweight and super easy to move around, so I can rearrange my space whenever I need to. Assembly was simple—everything went together quickly without any hassle.

Great for Privacy, Just a Little Flimsy
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
I recently got this room divider to create a bit more privacy in my home office, and it's been really handy. The thick polyester fabric helps block out distractions, and it's great that it's waterproof, so no worries about spills messing it up. The metal feet keep it stable enough, though I've noticed it can feel a bit wobbly if bumped. It's also super easy to fold and store when not in use, which is a huge plus if you have limited space like I do. Overall, it’s a practical addition, though handling it gently might be a good idea.

Perfect for Creating Private Spaces Without the Hassle
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard, Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
I recently picked up this Kecreque 3-panel room divider because we needed a flexible way to break up space in our garage. I wanted a place to hook up a small tv and play my SuperNES — and honestly, it’s been a fantastic purchase! First off, it’s bigger than it looks in pictures — fully opened, it stretches over 8 feet wide and stands about 6 feet tall. The panels are made of a thick, waterproof polyester fabric that feels much sturdier than I expected for the price. Plus, the steel frame is scratch- and rust-resistant, and the curved feet make it really stable. (No wobbling or tipping, even when our cats decide to race past it at full speed.) Assembly was straightforward — my husband did it himself in under 30 minutes with just the included instructions. The panels clip into the frame easily, and you can adjust the angle of each section depending on how much space you want to close off. It’s also surprisingly easy to move and fold up if you need to put it away; I just fold it flat and tuck it into a corner when it’s not in use. I really appreciate how low maintenance it is too — a quick wipe with a damp cloth has kept it clean. It’s been great for creating a semi-private video game nook, but I can also see it being perfect for an office, a church event, or even a kids’ room (the ad says it can “calm down arguments,” and honestly, I can believe it). Final thoughts: This is a sturdy, well-made, and versatile divider that’s easy to set up, reposition, and store. It looks clean and simple in any area or room and has held up well to daily use. Highly recommend if you need a practical and stylish way to create private spaces without committing to permanent walls!

Quality, and not overly complicated
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard, Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
This is so easy to put together, the parts are numbered, and the wordless instructions are clearer than some I've seen. The material/fabric is pleasant to the touch, and of decent quality. I like that the panels can be used independently of each other, or connected together, depending on your space. Also, the cloth velcros onto the frame, so it can be removed easily for cleaning if need be, without unbolting anything. The combined weight in the box is decent, but once built, each panel is fairly light and easy to move around, while feeling sturdy/not going to fall over unless they're being mistreated. It's a bright sunny afternoon, and I took a picture looking towards a window, so you can see it blocks most things unless directly silhouetted by the bright light on the other side.
