A showy hybrid, Eucomis 'Reuben' (Hebrew for "first born") has big spikes of dark purple buds opening to rose pink flowers. This Pineapple Lily plant was bred for use as a cut flower production, but has proven to be an excellent garden plant. Provide a compost enriched, moisture retentive soil in a full to part sun location. Protect from the wind. Cold hardy in zones 6b 9. Be sure to mulch well for winter in zone 6. Hybridized from South
