Williamsburg Wren Large Planter by Campania International

Add the Williamsburg Wren Large Planter for an old-world look with a modern style. Planters are a wonderful starting point for gardeners, enhancing your landscape with their vibrant colors, diverse sizes, and unique shapes. For beginners, they create a nurturing space that fosters growth and understanding. Advanced gardeners can use them to elevate their designs and express their creativity. Let planters become focal points in your garden, highlighting the beauty of your home. Colorful arrangements can transform an outdated space into a captivating retreat. Embrace the joy of planting in containers as a fulfilling way to celebrate a life lived outdoors.

The Williamsburg Wren Large Planter is shown in the Aged Limestone finish. Campania International's cast stone products feature exclusive natural pigment stains, expertly hand-applied through a precise process, resulting in distinctive finishes that mimic naturally aged materials. Each piece absorbs patinas uniquely, enhancing its character, and the technique ensures every piece stands out while allowing for natural aging outdoors. Actual colors may vary from those shown in photographs.

Campania International confidently manufactures premium cast stone products in the USA, utilizing locally sourced natural materials. The expertly crafted cast stone pieces are made with a proprietary, high-density mix of water, sand, stone aggregate, and cement. The cast stone is not just strong and durable; it is designed to enhance the beauty of any outdoor space as it weathers gracefully over time.

All Campania International planters have drainage holes. In winter, if you're leaving a planter outside with plants, elevate it to keep the drainage hole clear and prevent freezing to the ground. If not in use, store it indoors in a garage or shed. The high-density cast stone mixture provides durability but requires maintenance to withstand winter freeze-thaw cycles. These cycles can damage items that hold water, snow, or ice, especially if placed directly on the ground. If you can’t elevate the planter, turn it upside down to avoid snow and ice accumulation. Cover it with burlap or an absorbent material, then wrap it in dark plastic to prevent moisture build-up.

Wonderful and short introduction to plate tectonics for those with little background in Earth science or mathematics
Format: Paperback
Molnar does an excellent job explaining key elements of plate tectonics. His book is understandable even for those with little background in geology or geophysics. Molnar, an expert on mountain building, nicely explains how collisions of plates with continents atop cause mountain belts to form. He also questions the limitations of plate tectonics in explaining formation of such mountains. Understanding Molnar's very short book requires little mathematics. An ideal text for college science courses for non-science majors, and for those who want to understand the evolution of Earth's geological features and phenomena.

Easy to read
Format: Paperback
The book was an easy to read discussion of plate tectonics. The technical terms were easily understood and presented in an interest manner. Technically sound and entertaining is a winning combination for a science book! I wold recommend this book to anyone interested in the topic but is not a scientist in the field.

Very short and very good
Format: eTextbook
I read this book or one similar to it my senior year in high school 1970. It absolutely caught my attention as a way to explain why the continents had separated from Gondwanaland. I really liked revisiting the theory in light of the advances made since then
