- Cyrtostachys renda, commonly called lipstick palm or sealing wax palm, is a tropical palm that is native to swampy rain forest areas of the Malaysian peninsula, Indonesia and Borneo. It is perhaps best known for its glossy scarlet red crown shafts and leaf stalks which bring stunning accent and contrast to landscapes or indoor areas.
- Common names are in reference to the red coloration. In the wild, this palm will grow to 12-15’ tall. Pinnate leaves to 4-5’ long are deep green above and gray-green underneath. Small greenish white flowers in panicles bloom in summer.

Simple, fragrance-free base lotion that plays well under sunscreen
Size: 18 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I bought this as a moisturizing base before beach days, on my dermatologist s-style routine: at home I apply this lotion first, let it sink in, then tanning cream, and then layer broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF) on top. The goal was an even, soft, brown tan without that tight, dry feeling after sun and salt. In this role, it worked well for me. I didn’t finish the bottle over the season, and now I use it after the shower as my everyday body lotion.
Why I chose it (and what actually “works” here):
It’s fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, so it’s basic and gentle.
The key active is colloidal oatmeal, a classic skin protectant that helps soothe and support the moisture barrier.
Value for money was the clincher: a big bottle, simple formula, no extras I don’t need.

It’s not ultra-rich (don’t expect a heavy occlusive butter), but as a daily hydrator or under-SPF base, it’s reliable and comfortable .The texture is fast-absorbing and non-greasy on my slightly dry skin.
