Brewery & Style

Phase Three Brewing Company was founded in 2018 in Lake Zurich, a suburb northwest of Chicago. The brewery built its reputation on three pillars: hop-forward IPAs that marry multiple hop varieties into cohesive flavor profiles, big imperial stouts, and heavily fruited ales. Succulent Garden sits squarely in their NEIPA wheelhouse — a style defined by its turbid, unfiltered appearance, pillowy mouthfeel, and emphasis on late-addition and dry-hop aromatics over sharp bitterness. At 6% ABV, this expression lands in a sessionable range that keeps the hop intensity front and center without heavy alcohol warmth.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Expect the lush, fruit-forward aromatics typical of Phase Three's hop-centric approach. The nose opens with bright tropical and stone fruit character, followed by softer floral and resinous undertones as the beer warms in the glass.

Taste: The palate delivers the hallmark NEIPA profile — juicy and round on entry, with a soft, almost creamy mid-palate texture. Hop flavor dominates over bitterness, leaning toward ripe fruit and citrus pith rather than piney or dank notes. The moderate 6% ABV keeps the body light enough to let hop character remain the focal point.

Finish: The finish is clean and moderately dry with lingering tropical fruit impressions. Bitterness remains restrained, leaving a smooth, drinkable close that invites the next sip.

How to Drink Succulent Garden

Pour into a tulip glass or stemless wine glass at a cool 40–45°F to release the full range of hop aromatics; avoid drinking straight from the can if you want the complete sensory experience. Succulent Garden works well as a standalone sipper, but its juicy profile also pairs effectively with food. A fish taco with mango salsa mirrors the beer's tropical hop notes. A margherita pizza benefits from the beer's soft carbonation cutting through mozzarella richness. A Thai green curry finds balance against the beer's low bitterness and fruit-forward palate.

  • Sharing with friends during a weekend cookout or backyard gathering
  • Introducing someone to the hazy IPA style with an approachable ABV
  • Building a curated craft beer tasting flight alongside other NEIPAs
  • Gifting to a hop-obsessed craft beer enthusiast exploring Illinois breweries

Why Succulent Garden?

Phase Three Brewing built its name on an obsessive focus on hop layering — blending varieties to create cohesive flavor rather than single-note intensity. Succulent Garden represents that philosophy at a drinkable 6% ABV, making it one of the more approachable entries in the brewery's rotating IPA lineup. For drinkers who value aroma-driven, low-bitterness hazy ales from a young but rapidly acclaimed Illinois brewery, this 4-pack delivers a focused snapshot of what Phase Three does best. It holds a 3.82 out of 5 rating on Birrapedia, reflecting solid community reception among craft beer reviewers.

So perfectly soft
Size: King, Style: 2 Dark Gray
My husband was complaining about the mattress, and wants to spend a lot of money on a new one like the ones at the Waldorf. I asked him to give me a chance to try to fix it first. Watched youtube videos about hotel style beds, and landed on the need for a mattress topper. This one is so... very... comfortable. I thought the grid pattern would bother me, but nope. You don't realize how much heat you soak up from your mattress until you get a nice airy layer in between. I almost completely stopped sweating at night, and he's stopped complaining about hurting as much. This is another of those items that I'm scared of washing too much, but it's held up with care and caution. If it starts to get a bit too squished, I just fluff it in the dryer and the padding poofs right back up. The sides are deep and my mattress sinks right into the pocket with no pulling. I have bad back pain and I am certain this has been helping support my back a bit better, so I wake up more refreshed. I'm sorta popping out of bed like I used to years ago. He still plans on a new mattress, but this has saved us money, for now, and when we get the new one, this will layer on top like a dream. I'm glad I took the chance on this, it has really improved our rest, and that's so important.

Soft and pretty
Size: Full, Style: 1 Green
Not as thick as I thought it would be. That doesn't matter, though. Being thinner made it easier to handle and I like that. Actually, over all this is a good product. Placing it in the outdoors to sun out a bit took the odor away quickly. I think my company will be impressed with the comfort.

Very comfortable

Very soft and dries fast. I did the scoot test on them to test the grip and they passed with flying colors. Got them on a limited deal and it was worth every penny. I will be purchasing more in different colors as there are plenty of options. I haven’t washed them yet but if there’s an issue, I will definitely update this review. They are nice and thick and fell good on your feet.

Nice shower mat
Size: 50" X 30", Color: Navy
I have had it for almost a month now and run it through the washer and dryer. Its nice and soft, decent size I did not use a measuring tape to check how precise the sizing is. Absorbs the water when I step out of the shower well and doesn't feel wet or let anything through. Stays in place on the tile floor. Only challenge has been the robot vacuum cleaner gets trapped on it about half the time, but this might just be a testament to its thick nature.

These are great rugs and I keep going back and buying more. They are such a good value for money and they wash really easily. They don't slide or shed and they are very durable. They are very soft.So far we have them in both bathrooms and next to our bed.
