| Monstera Adansonia is a rock star among houseplants, beloved on social media and in real life for its large, heart-shaped, hole-y leaves. Like Monstera deliciosa, Monstera Adansonia is commonly referred to as Swiss cheese plant because of the holes (perforations or fenestrations) in its leaves. Also called Swiss cheese vine, the smaller, more compact Monstera Adansonia develops leaf perforations sooner than Monstera deliciosa. The holes can represent up to 50 percent or so of a leaf. One theory for why these tropical forest dwellers "go hole-y" is that the openings enable light to more easily reach lower leaves. With its vining growth habit, Monstera Adansonia a wonderful hanging basket plant, adding living dimension to your home decor from above. Or from a plant shelf or stand. The plant can be trained to climb as well and is capable to spreading to as much as 8 feet in length. Provide plenty of bright, indirect light. Water so that soil is consistently, evenly moist but not soggy. Water again when the top inch or two of soil feels dry or nearly dry. You can feed the plant monthly during spring through fall with an all-purpose liquid houseplant food diluted by half. Monsteras like temps in the 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit range and humidity above 50 percent. You can increase humidity by using a humidifier or placing the monstera near other tropical foliage plants or in your kitchen or bathroom. Wow when they describe these magnets as “super string” they are not joking! Magnets are so strong you must be careful when placing them on your metal cabinet, lest it pinch your finger when the magnet grabs the metal!
This is an awesome product. The hooks have a hole in their base that fits over a threaded post / bolt coming out of the center of the magnet and the kit comes with two washers, lock washers, and bolts to attach the hooks to the magnets. Takes about one minute per magnet to assemble. Once on the wall they feel like they will hold a lot of weight though I did not try to test the upper limit. No problem at all holding yard tools and the like. The hooks or arms have a nice rubberized coating and extend about 4.5” out from the wall. At $15 each these seemed a little pricy but wow what a great solution for hanging things on metal walls. They work so well I will be buying more of these! I actually have some other similar very strong round magnets made for a similar purpose … but they do not have the “built-in” hooks like these do and it makes a big difference for the usefulness! These are so strong and bigger than I thought they would be in a positive way the price is good for the product. You can take them and put them wherever you need to. They can go on a fridge or transfer to anything magnetic, can go anywhere. These are a need in the home.
