The European Fan Palm is known to currently be the only palm native to Europe and is considerably smaller when compared to other palm trees. It is naturally a slow grower and prefers to be positioned in a sheltered spot such as a sunny border. It can be planted in a pot on the patio. One of the most cold tolerant palm species, withstanding temperatures as low as -15C. It is an easy to grow and a low maintenance plant.
