This one-of-a-kind tree stands apart from the rest. What you see in the photos are what you get, and there will never be another one like it.

I’m Yuki, the Variegated Snowrose Serissa, and native to open woodlands and wet meadows in southeast Asia. I have a wide and old trunk. I'm from the genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. I sport little white flowers and bloom often throughout the year, which is how I got my nickname, ‘Tree of a Thousand Stars.’

Full disclosure: I am a bit on the finicky side and am best suited for someone with bonsai experience and a lot of patience. I don't like to be moved around too much as that can cause me to stress out by yellowing my leaves. I prefer my conditions to be just right. I will yellow and drop leaves if my soil is too wet or too dry. I will also yellow and drop leaves if i'm not getting enough sun or if I'm getting too much sun.

I will thrive indoors in bright indirect light but also like being outdoors during the spring and summer. Keep me in temperatures above 50 ̊F all year. To water, submerge my pot up to the rim for about 10 minutes, and drain well. Do this about once every 7-10 days, or when my pot feels 1/2 lighter, and more often when very hot or dry. Please keep me away from heaters in the winter as I may dry out quickly!

Symbolism: The Serissa's Wood element symbolizes growth and transformation, ultimately nurturing resilience, adaptation, and personal growth. Its Chi, 'Zhen,' stands for constancy and stability, with a strong power to cultivate an environment of strength and protection against negative energy. Fun fact: in Fengshui, Wood elements thrive in moist, shaded spots for optimal Chi flow.

Includes basic care instructions. We always recommend doing more research as each environment-- and tree!-- is unique. Plate sold separately.

Not a Users Guide
Format: Paperback
Although many readers may find this book useful, it describes a particular approach to Powerpoint. It is not anything like a comprehensive users guide.

Just linear
Format: Paperback
I appreciate that it helps to organize the chaos of information, but I just used the template verbatim with my manager and it did not go very well. He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.

Great introduction for anyone new to the P&C industry. Good reference as well for the more well-seasoned readers.

Student Review
This book is an excellent introduction to the basic principles of insurance. We used this text as a supplement in our Intro to Act. Sci. class. It is very readable, easy to understand. Minimal mathematics required, some basic calculus concepts used, but only briefly. Don't let it's small size fool ya, it has plenty of information in there.
