Echeveria 'Blue Bird' (Reinelt) boasts a large, silvery blue rosette that develops bright pink margins in the fall and winter. With ample space to grow, it can reach up to 10 inches in diameter, though it will remain smaller if its offsets are allowed to cluster. To adapt to full sun, 'Blue Bird' features a thick, powdery coating of farina (epicutular wax), giving it a soft, pruinose appearance.
To maintain their vibrant colors and compact rosette shape, Echeverias require bright sunlight. They are not frost-tolerant, so during cold weather, it's advisable to bring them indoors to thrive on a sunny windowsill or under grow lights.
