- Size: Grows up to 6 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide.
- Hardiness: Tolerates temperatures as low as 25°F (-4°C). USDA hardiness zones 9–11.
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight but can tolerate some direct light. Too much intense sun may cause the leaves to fade or scorch.
- Soil: Requires well-draining, sandy soil or a cactus potting mix to prevent water retention.
- Watering: Use the "soak and dry" method—allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering during the dormant season.
- Temperature: Ideal range is 60–80°F (16–27°C). Protect from frost and prolonged cold exposure.
- Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years in spring, using a slightly larger pot with proper drainage to support growth.
Care Tips:
- Indoor Care: Place near a bright window with filtered sunlight, and ensure the pot has adequate drainage to prevent overwatering.
- Outdoor Care: Position in partial shade or filtered sunlight to avoid leaf damage in hot climates.
- Maintenance: Clean leaves occasionally to enhance their appearance, and propagate offsets to create new plants. Use a diluted cactus fertilizer during the growing season to promote healthy growth.
