The Galena- The design details of this pot comes in the story of the rim, the double "ruffle" ornamented rim is a traditional flower pot style made in Cornwall England.  Many of the 19th century immigrants to the Wisconsin are were from Cornwall, they settled near the town of Galena IL, which had rich soil and perfect conditions for pottery making.  They brought their heritage and designs with them and settled here to make functional garden pottery.  The colors and designs in this collection are a plant lovers dream.
