Origin: Like all Echeverias, 'Romeo Rubin' is the result of horticultural manipulations to accentuate certain aesthetic characteristics. Echeverias are native to Mexico and surrounding areas in Central America, where they grow in semi-desert environments.
Growth: Echeveria 'Romeo Rubin' forms dense rosettes which can reach up to 15-20 cm in diameter. The leaves are thick, fleshy and have a slightly pointed shape. They are famous for their ruby red to dark purple color, especially if exposed to sufficient sunlight.
Flowers: This plant produces flower stalks on which clusters of bell-shaped flowers develop. The flowers are usually pink or reddish in color, contrasting nicely with the dark foliage and usually appearing in spring or early summer.
