Pothos are considered easy-to-care-for plants and are a popular choice for new and experienced plant owners. They are living air purifiers, removing common household toxins from the air making it a healthy and beautiful plant to add to your space.

How to care for your new Pothos Plant:

SUNLIGHT: These plants tolerate low light but grow well in medium and higher light areas too. They do not do well in direct sunlight since the sun will burn the foliage.

WATER: Keep the soil moist but not too wet, allow the top 2-4" of soil to dry out between waterings. Watch out for yellowing leaves, which is a sign of overwatering.

HUMIDITY/TEMPERATURE: These plants do well in a low humid environment, but will thrive in environments with higher humidity. Watch out for browning leaves, which is a sign that the air is too dry. Pothos prefer average to warm indoor temperatures. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

The shelves sag away from the wall overtime

Although the wood quality and finish of the shelf are clean and well-made, the main issue is that the shelves begin to sag over time while holding around 10 pounds, even though the product listing claims they can support up to 20 pounds. They may perform better on a brick wall, but on drywall you should be cautious. To fix the problem, I had to purchase floating shelf brackets for support, which solved the sagging issue. However, this defeats the purpose of the “floating” aesthetic. Since the shelf is in my bedroom, I can overlook it, but I personally wouldn’t install these in a common area if I wanted a clean floating look.
