This is a great choice for darker colored sunflowers. Plants get around 6 feet tall and produce several blooms along the main stem (multi-branching). Flower colors are mixed, but in general you will get solid dark red/orange blooms that might have a touch of yellow at their centers. Sunflowers attract loads of pollinators like bees and butterflies. As the season progresses, the plants produce tiny seeds that are loved by birds ands chickens.

Germination: 7-10 days

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/2 inch

Sowing: Can direct sow after the last frost, or start in pots 4-6 weeks before the last frost.
