HOW TO GROW LAVENDER FROM SEED

To grow lavender successfully it needs well-drained soil and full sun.

In arid climates, lavender grows well as a perennial, but in humid climates, it is often grown as an annual.

Lavender can be sown indoors in late winter or outdoors in early spring or late fall.

Some gardeners suggest cold-stratifying lavender seeds by placing them in moist soil in a cold greenhouse or refrigerator for two to seven weeks before moving them onto heat.

  • Choose a sterile soil mix intended for seed starting.
Moisten the soil with a little water, and then fill a seed-starting tray with the damp soil mix.
  • Sow lavender seeds on top of the soil and do not cover them. Barely cover the seed, as they germinates in 14-21 days in warm soil.
  • Add a clear dome greenhouse lid to the seed-starting tray to prevent drying out. Be sure that the lid has ventilation holes, and lift it once or twice a day to refresh the air.
  • Keep the soil lightly damp. Mist often and check the soil regularly. Once your seeds have begun to sprout, continue bottom watering to keep the soil moderately damp, never wet.
  • The germination time vary, depending on the temperature.
Lavender seeds may take from 14 to 30 days to germinate, even up to 3 months depending on the soil temperature.
  • Help the germination process by placing seed trays in a warm spot—70 degrees F is an ideal temperature.
  • Lavender seedlings are ready to transplant when they have at least two sets of true leaves.
  • Space the plants 12 inches apart in full sun in a neutral to alkaline, light, rich, sandy, well-drained soil. Drainage is critical for Lavender's success.

Outdoors, scatter the seeds onto the soil and then cover with a row protector or very light sprinkling of soil.

Pretty Nice
Color: E-Blackpro 4, Color: E-Blackpro 4
I’m not sure why the promotional photos show these hooks with the bent ends pointing down. To me that makes no sense, as it seems they are using them upside down. It makes more sense to me to have the bent ends point up, so the items being stored do not slide off. Additionally, the shorter bent hooks make no sent to have on the top, as they would limit how far back you could place a shovel or other tool. When using the hooks with the bent ends pointing up, you can place your lighter bulkier items on the long hooks, but then use the short hooks for those heavier items (if they fit), as that gets them closer to the magnets and will have less leverage to make the magnetic hooks fall free from the metal they are trying to be attracted to. In my example photos, you can see how the shorter hooks do not obstruct the shovels and other tools from being stored properly and the bent ends then also help to prevent the tools from sliding off the hook. Overall, I am very happy with the hooks. I’ve had a fondness for magnets since I was a kid, so I have a very realistic expectation of the limits of magnets and these magnetic hooks perform as well as I would expect.

Strong magnetic hook with only one small con
Color: E-Blackpro 4
I got the four-pack of magnetic hooks and the magnets are indeed strong. You have to reasonable with how much weight you hang off of these though! The longer hooks help with holding multiple items. I've used them for shovels and rakes and they hold up just fine. The only slight con is that I wish the ends of the hooks curled up instead of down to keep items from sliding off as safety precaution. You can just turn the hook upside down but then the shorter hooks are at the bottom. They work for what I need them and can hold power tools as well. The hooks are sturdy and the magnet power is impressive.

Magnets are strong
Color: E-Blackpro 4
Arrived fast. Magnets are really strong on my husbands metal peg board in the garage outside. The only draw back, the rings are slightly long for a work bench area. Wish they were 3-4''.

High Quality and Operability - Great!
Great mouse! Not only good, but feels and operates as well as, or better than a Microsoft mouse, and a lot more reasonable! Comes with AAA batteries, the USB transceiver is stored inside the battery compartment (good when packing and traveling), and a white support strap lays down below the installed batteries so that it is easier to remove them when its time to change the battery. Be sure to go into Control Panel/Mouse and make any click-speed or mouse movement adjustments to your liking. I plan on buying another one of these for my second HP laptop. The USB transceiver is immediately responsive and you will see a red laser at the bottom of the mouse.
