The Alocasia 'Regal Shields' is a magnificent hybrid celebrated for its massive, dramatic foliage. It is believed to be a cross between Alocasia reginula (Black Velvet) and Alocasia odora.
The standout feature of the plant is the huge, velvety dark-green to almost black leaves shaped like shields, often reaching 2 feet long indoors. The deep green leaves are contrasted by bright, lime-green veining on the upper surface and a rich burgundy-purple underside.

Bright, indirect light is crucial for robust growth and maintaining its rich, dark color. Direct sun will bleach or scorch the leaves. It will tolerate medium light, but growth will slow significantly.
Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Allow the top $1$ inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Be cautious about overwatering, especially in cooler months.
Use a chunky, very well-draining, and rich aroid mix.
It prefers temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C to 29°C).

Worth every penny

This blanket is so soft and comforting, I just love it! It arrived sealed in a plastic bag and fluffed up instantly, I briefly put it in the dryer on low and it came out absolutely perfect. There was no odd smell, no loose threads, it was very well made and looks so inviting on my bed! Definitely a great buy that will keep you warm.

Love it!

Exceeded all expectations. Bigger than I imagined it would be, super soft and thick, beautiful color (Linen), and no funky smell at all. It seems very durable. After running my hands all over it, no shedding occurred. I have yet to sit on it myself, though, as my cat claimed it right away - didn't even wait for me to remove the tag! He's been there for hours and I'm thinking I've lost my snuggle buddy, so I bought two more in the smaller size so he can have his own on the bed with me at night. I am so amazed by the quality, feel, and color. I can't believe I almost let other reviews deter me from this purchase. 100% thrilled with this beautiful pelt. Absolutely recommend!

I received the other 2 purchased. Just as soft, just as thick, consistent color (Linen), no shedding, no smell. They have been in use for several days now without any issues. Love them all - and my snuggle buddy is back! 🥰

It’s wonderful!!

The product is wonderful! You know it is real, coz the smell doesn’t go away. I use it to meditate and cannot how nicely it created the perfect comforting barrier to help elevate my experience. I however want to find alternatives coz I stopped using animal products after turning a vegetarian. The size (it is bigger in person than in the pic) and color(brown) are perfect for what I do and doesn’t need much/any maintenance!
The white however needs a lot of attention and care.I’m sure it would last a decade and the weight is just right too!
