🪴Which plants is GT Foliage Focus for?

Formulated for houseplants where foliage is your focus, including Aroids, such as Monstera, Pothos and Philodendron, Ficus, Epipremnum, Peperomia, Syngonium, Sansevieria, Hoyas, ZZ, Ferns and more.

Why is GT Foliage Focus different?

  • All 12 essential minerals houseplants need (and nothing they don't),
  • Complete, all-in-one, single-part formula for no-fuss feeding - just add water!
  • Safe for sensitive and variegated plants, even those prone to fertiliser burn,
  • Includes calcium to support new growth and help avoid browning,
  • Guaranteed NO chlorine, sodium, urea, chlorides, nickel or cobalt
  • Guaranteed analysis on the label, every batch tested for consistent results.
  • Gentle enough to use every time you water to avoid excesses and deficiencies,
  • Super-concentrated from 3mls per 1 litre water, a little goes a long way!

⚖️ Guaranteed complete...

Most fertilisers include NPK only: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K). Far from all the nutrients plants need, yet enough to claim to be 'complete'. Check the label. GT is different.

Your plants get all 12 essential nutrients: Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, manganese, boron, zinc, copper and molybdenum. All listed in the guaranteed analysis on the label. All-in-one, concentrated formula - just add water!

 ...including calcium

GT provides all 12 essential nutrients, including calcium. Most fertilisers skip calcium (even though calcium is essential for plants!)

Signs of calcium deficiency include bud-blast (where buds form but fail to flower), split, cracked leaves, leaves that cup or curl or new growth that browns prematurely. Don't leave it too late. If there’s a calcium deficiency when new growth forms, the damage is done. Plants need a regular supply. Use GT every time you water.

🧂 Don't risk fertililiser burn

Guaranteed NO sodium, urea or chlorides, making GT safe even for variegated plants and salt-sensitive plants more prone to fertiliser burn. Outdoors, excess mineral salts can leach away from the roots. Indoors, our plants can't escape. GT uses urea-free nitrogen, chloride-free potassium and guarantees no added sodium, reducing the risk of fertiliser burn.

🫗 Tap water safe

GT is CHLORINE-FREE. Safe for chlorine-sensitive plants like Maranta, Peace Lily, African Violets, Orchids and more to help avoid leaf-tip burn and browning of leaf margins. Safe to use with tap water to avoid adding extra chlorine.

🍽️ Goldilocks pH zone

Carefully balanced to avoid nutrient deficiencies and excesses. pH buffered to maintain the 'Goldilocks Zone' for tropical houseplants, keeping pH stable for the best uptake of nutrients.

💧 Adaptive formula

Adaptive for soil-based and soil-free substrates including aroid blends, hydro and semi-hydro, including leca and pon, no pH adjustment required.

🔑 Metal minerals unlocked

The 5 essential metal minerals (iron, manganese, magnesium, zinc and copper), in GT are chelated. Metal nutrients can easily react in soil, locking them into solids plants can't use. One reason for yellow leaves even when a fertiliser includes all the required metal minerals. Chelated minerals (pronounced 'key-lay-ted' like a key unlocking a door), have organic molecules added to protect precious metals, keeping them water-soluble and available to plants.

📏 Little & often

To avoid irreversible deficiencies in immobile nutrients (such as calcium), it's recommended to feed with GT Foliage Focus every time you water (also called the weekly weakly method.

🫛 Only what indoor plants need (and nothing they don't)

NO cobalt or nickel. Nickel and cobalt are essential in tiny (nano) amounts for nitrogen-fixing plants, NOT houseplants. Required by cereal crops and legumes, such as peas, barley and beans.

Both cobalt and nickel are phytotoxic to most other plants, even in small amounts, indoor plants included.

Toxic levels may build-up slowly, not noticeable at first, later causing symptoms such as yellow leaves (chlorosis), wilting, stunted root growth and leaf drop.

🪙 Value-for-money

From only 3mls per 1 litre water. Super-concentrated, super-simple, all-in-one single formula. Why pay for water? A little goes a long way.

🗒️Directions for GT Foliage Focus

Every GT order comes with one FREE 5ml pipette to make the right dose easy. No pipette? One teaspoon = 5mls. Complete, all-in-one formula. One bottle is all you need. Just add water!

Choose your dose to match your plant's needs...

🪴General maintenance: Use GT at the general maintenance dose of 3mls per 1 litre of water.

🪴 Fast growers / heavy feeders: Use GT at 5mls (1 teaspoon) per 1 litre water.

💧 Hydro and semi-hydro (such as leca and pon): From 5 to 7mls per 1 litre water according to growth requirements.

To avoid irreversible deficiencies in immobile nutrients (such as calcium), it's recommended to fertilise with GT Focus every time you water.

How much does GT Foliage Focus cost to feed?

GT Foliage Focus costs from 4.5 cents per litre to feed, depending on the size you buy.

At the general maintenance rate, the 250ml size makes 83 litres at a cost of 18 cents per litre, the 1 litre size makes 333 litres at a cost of 7.5 cents per litre, or the 5 litre size makes 1,666 litres at a cost of 4.5 cents per litre.

*Please note costs may vary depending on retail price. Calculations are correct based on the recommended retail as of 1 Feb 2025.

Our German Sheppard loves these
Size: Medium
These cost a bit more than tennis balls, but they are so much nicer and longer lasting. For starters, they stay cleaner than tennis balls because they’re smooth rubber. Dirt won’t build up on them and if anything does stick, like grass or soil, it falls off once the dog slobber dries. They’re also thick, so they don’t fall apart or blow out like a normal tennis ball does in our dog’s jaws after 30 seconds. Our GS chomps on these like crazy and the only damage they’ve suffered is a crack that developed from the edge of the hole, but the crack is growing very slowly and none of these balls have totally failed yet. The balls do whistle when thrown ant high speed and that may help a dog track and locate it, but I’m not sure. Our neighbors hear the whistling too so it’s far from silent. Lastly the orange ball is easy to locate out in our yard, but the dark blue practically disappears.
