Plant Constituents
- Ficus Panda Bonsai - Plant in Recyclable 4inch Plastic Pot
Plant care
- Your Ficus tree will do well in average humidity environments but will appreciate regular misting.
- Your Ficus Alii will thrive in average temperatures of 60-75 degrees.
- Fertilize your Ficus tree every month in late spring and summer with a general-purpose fertilizer diluted to half strength.
- All plants need light, but ficus plants need lots of it.
- They require indirect sunlight for at least 6 hours daily!
- Make sure to routinely rotate this plant so each side receives consistent sunlight.
- This will keep the ficus growing upright and prevent it from leaning or developing new growth just on one side.
- Water. The Ficus plant prefers to dry out some between watering, but do not let the soil completely dry out.
- We recommend that you water your tree every 5 to 7 days, or when the top inch of soil is dry.
Benefits
- popular medicinal plant in India, which has long been used in Ayurveda, the ancient system of Indian medicine, for various diseases/disorders including diabetes, liver disorders, diarrhea, inflammatory conditions, hemorrhoids, respiratory, and urinary diseases.
- Those issues aside however, the ficus makes a fine houseplant and enjoys spending time outdoors from late spring to early fall.
- The bad news is that it tends to lose its leaves, but the good news is that they tend to quickly grow back.
- Ficus lyrata is a very popular houseplant that can grow to 6 feet or taller.
- Ficus trees could be a good choice for your property.
- Species of these trees range in both shade trees to a variety that quickly grows into a hedge for screening.
- However, the plant has become a controversial plant in recent years leaving homeowners to wondering how to control Ficus tree roots.
