Plant Spacing: 12"

You will get a higher germination rate if you will cold treat these for 30 days prior to sowing. Mix your seeds with 1/4 cup of sand, peat, or vermiculite and place into a baggie. Add 1 teaspoon of water and place in your fridge (not your freezer).

After this cold treatment sow them in pots about 10 weeks before your last frost in spring. These need light to germinate so sow on the surface of your potting material and lightly dust with sand or vermiculite. Once seedlings are 2-3" tall slowly introduce outdoors and transplant in spring after your last frost.

You can also direct sow these in early winter, but they are slow growing perennials and tend to get overwhelmed by weeds.

Penstemon is very cold hardy, but for zones 3 and 4 where temps can drop below -10 degrees you can mulch them in late winter to protect them, or pull the root balls and over winter in a protected area.

Conversely in very hot zones like 8 and 9 you can help them out by planting your seedlings in an area where you get late afternoon shade.

My Doxie’s Absolute Favorite Fetch Toy – Who Knew Baby Balls Could Be So Paw-some? I bought these colorful baby balls as a simple toy for my little one, but my furry bay claimed them as his own from day one! These small, bouncy balls are perfect for little dogs – they’re lightweight and easy to grip in his mouth, keeping him entertained for hours. No squeakers or stuffing to destroy, just pure, durable fun. If your pup loves a good game of fetch or just batting things around, these “baby” balls are a steal. Highly recommend!

Best Dog Ball!!
Style: Ultra, Size: Small (2 Pack), Style: Ultra, Size: Small (2 Pack)
Our pug has been obsessed with this ball since we gave it to her — she even slept with it. Somehow it’s still in one piece, which never happens. Easily the best dog ball we’ve bought.

Difficult to destroy. Bounce really high.
Style: Squeaker, Size: Small (2 Pack)
Bought as a gift for a friend's small dog who dismantles tennis balls. He loves them. I have many years of experience with the product (in a larger size) for my big dog. He always had one either in his mouth or near him. They are pretty much indestructible.

High quality, wish it was just a little smaller
Style: Squeaker, Size: Small (2 Pack)
Love these. My dogs would play ball all day if I let them. These are very durable and bouncy. Love that it’s washable. They would chew up the small “tennis” balls to pieces so I love that they can’t destroy these. My only criticism is I wish these were just a little smaller (like the size of the small Kong tennis balls). My dogs can carry it in their tiny mouths but they can’t get their mouth around it enough to chew it to get the squeaker to squeak, which is their favorite thing.
