A fantastic bud count means you'll see lots of blooms growing on strong scapes around 24" tall in our East Tennessee garden. A light fragrance rounds out this remarkable daylily.
As a mid season bloomer, we begin to see the dazzling blooms of Smuggler's Gold around the middle of June. If you live to our north, you'll see them a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us.
Smuggler's Gold is a dormant daylily. That means it is best grown in areas that receive a sustained winter cold period like those in zones 8 and lower.
