The 'Blue Boobs' Cactus, also known as 'Booby Cactus,' 'Breast Cactus,' and 'Titty Cactus,' is a unique and eye-catching monstrose form of Myrtillocactus geometrizans. Botanically referred to as Myrtillocactus geometrizans cv. Fukurokuryuzinboku, this Japanese cultivar is highly sought after by collectors for its distinctive appearance and rare nature.

Myrtillocactus geometrizans cv. Fukurokuryuzinboku features upright, glaucous stems with 5 to 8 unusual ribs lined with tubercles that resemble women's breasts. This cactus can grow up to 4.5 meters tall and 10 centimeters in diameter. Typically solitary, it may occasionally produce a few branches. The areoles usually bear 3 to 5 short spines. This cultivar's dusky blue epidermis adds to its visual appeal, making it a standout addition to any collection.

Originating from Japan, this monstrose form of the Blue Candle Cactus thrives in bright, warm positions with well-draining soil. It is semi-hardy, so ensure it is not exposed to temperatures below -4°C, and ideally keep nighttime temperatures above 10°C. During summer, provide plenty of sunlight, either indoors or outdoors. In winter, place it in a cooler, light spot to allow it to rest, encouraging spring blooms.

Myrtillocactus geometrizans cv. Fukurokuryuzinboku requires minimal watering; allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings and keep it dry in winter. Feed with a special cactus fertilizer monthly during spring and summer. If repotting is needed, use soil designed for cacti and allow cuttings to dry for 2-3 weeks before rooting.

This rare and prized cactus, with its striking blue-green ribs and unique tubercle formations, is a must-have for any serious succulent collector. Its intriguing shape and easy-care nature make it a fascinating and low-maintenance addition to any cactus collection.

Great for supplemental learning
Format: Paperback
This study guide is an interesting take on drug memorization, though the execution could be better. The coloring concept helps with memory retention, especially for visual learners trying to connect drug names with their uses and classifications. The organization by drug class is logical and helps build understanding of how related medications work. The basic pharmacology information is accurate and the quick-reference format is handy for review. The "made easy" title fits - it breaks down complex medication information into manageable chunks. The coloring activities do help make dry content more engaging, though the quality of the illustrations varies. Some drawbacks: the coloring spaces are sometimes too small for comfortable use, and the paper quality could be better - markers tend to bleed through. Several important newer drugs are missing, and some of the clinical information feels oversimplified. The binding isn't very durable - pages can come loose with regular use. For students, this works best as a supplementary study tool rather than a primary resource. It's helpful for initial learning and quick review before exams, but you'll need more detailed sources for complete medication information. Consider using colored pencils instead of markers, and maybe reinforce the binding before heavy use.
