🪴Spider plants, also known as Chlorophytum comosum, have fleshy, tuberous roots and rhizomes that store water and help them survive inconsistent watering. This rhizomatous root system is a natural adaptation that helps the plant in its native region of coastal South Africa.

Here are some other things to know about spider plant roots:

🪴Spiderettes: The ends of spider plant stolons can develop fat roots called spiderettes, which is a natural way for the plant to spread vegetatively. In the wild, these spiderettes would root away from the mother plant.

🪴Stressed plants: Stressed spider plants can also form tuber-like water storage organs.

Propagating: When propagating spider plants, you can root them in water or soil. If you propagate them in water, roots will form in about 7–10 days, but the roots will be stronger if you use soil, though it may take longer. Before transplanting a baby plant into a pot with soil, wait until its roots are at least 2–3 inches long.

🪴Spider plants boast a rhizomatous root system, which is like nature's version of a survival kit. These roots store water, allowing the plant to forgive your forgetful watering habits. The roots are tuberous and fleshy, and they're the reason your spider plant doesn't throw a fit if you miss a watering or two.

Fabulously bizarre and effective
These silicone socks have to be the strangest item I have ever ordered from Amazon. However strange they are, I was pleasantly surprised with them. My order came with two pairs, and I took one pair out to wash before use. I laughed at handling them then because they were a cross between hospital socks and leftover mannequin skin…trippy. The socks dried fast, so I put on foot lotion and put the socks on. The socks are beige skin tones that cover the entire foot up to the ankle, basically booties. The silicone is very soft and makes putting on and taking off the socks easy. They are also surprisingly easy to walk around in because the bottoms have grips, again, like hospital socks. I walked on tile, hardwood, and carpet with no slipping. The booties also stayed in place with no issues. I was concerned my feet would sweat, but that didn't happen. I was able to wear them for 3 hours without sweaty feet. When I took them off, my feet were a lot more soft than before or if I had used regular socks. For reference, my feet are not terrible, but the skin around my toes is dry and peeling from my picking(gross, I know). The socks I got are a size large, which worried me because they are big, but the site said for my shoe size (9) that's what I should order, and they were right. They are the perfect size and stretchy for room. I can't believe how cool and well-thought-out these socks are, on top of working. Honestly, these are among the top 20 favorite items I've ordered from Amazon. They may look incredibly strange, and they are, but they work wonders.

Stains easily. Tight for men's size 11 feet
Flavor Name: XL silicone socks 2 pairs, Flavor Name: XL silicone socks 2 pairs
Husband wore dark cotton socks over these gel foot covers overnight and the covers picked up color from the socks. Tried hand washing, even dabbing with a bleach soaked paper towel, but the stains remained. The covers are a bit tight for men's size 11. Edit: After a few more hand washings the stains began to fade. However one tore around the leg opening when taking it off.

Worthless. Tore on first use.
Flavor Name: XL silicone socks 2 pairs
The first time I put these on my feet, the whole toe broke right through. They were a proper fit and my feet are well pedicured. Just very poor quality. I don’t recommend.
