Silver Sword Philodendron, also known as Philodendron Hastatum, is one of the best indoor house plants that you can own. Known for its striking silvery-blue leaves and ease of care, this is the perfect plant for both beginners and expert plant enthusiasts.
Care Level:
Easy, beginner-friendly
Features:
- Stunning silvery-blue leaves with a metallic sheen
- Fast-growing and vining habit
- Low Maintenance
- 4" Pot
Care Requirements:
- Light: Silver Sword Philodendron thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
- Water: It prefers to be kept slightly moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings.
- Humidity: This plant enjoys higher humidity levels but can adapt to average household humidity.
- Temperature: It prefers temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Keep it away from cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.
- Soil: Well-draining potting mix is essential to prevent root rot. A mix designed for aroids or houseplants works well.
- Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
