The Bismark Palm, Nobilis Palm is native to Madagascar. 

It’s a gorgeous, prehistoric looking species that can quickly grow to a height of 15 ft in just five years and ultimately reach 30-40 feet tall. The Bismark has a single smooth trunk topped with 20-25 foot wide fronds that form a spherical crown. 

Bismark Nobilis likes full sun, sandy soil, good drainage and heat. It does well in tropical, subtropical as well as Southern California and some California and Arizona desert climates. The cold tolerance is impressive with its ability to withstand temps to the 20’s F and also tolerates heat upwards to 110 degrees F. Zone 8b-11
