The Bergs Potter Modena Pot & Saucer Set combines clean architectural lines with the timeless beauty of handcrafted terracotta. With its generous proportions and understated cylindrical form, the Modena is designed to showcase larger houseplants and statement specimens while allowing the planting itself to take centre stage.
Crafted from premium Italian terracotta and finished by hand, each pot is naturally breathable, helping to regulate moisture and encourage healthy root development. The Modena is available in two beautiful finishes: Raw Rosa and Raw Grey, each supplied with a perfectly matched terracotta saucer.
The minimalist design works equally well in contemporary and traditional interiors, while the larger sizes make it ideal for substantial houseplants, citrus trees, olive trees, palms and other architectural specimens.

Care & styling tips
- Plant directly into the Modena pot using a free-draining compost suitable for your plant.
- Water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain into the saucer.
- Terracotta is naturally porous and will develop character and patina over time.
- If used outdoors, move under cover during prolonged freezing weather.
- When repotting, choose a pot approximately 2–4cm wider than your plant's existing nursery pot.

Choosing the right size
If you're repotting a plant, we normally recommend choosing a pot around 2–4cm wider than your plant's nursery pot. This provides room for healthy root growth without risking overpotting.
- 30cm pot – ideal for plants in 24–28cm nursery pots
- 35cm pot – ideal for plants in 29–33cm nursery pots
- 40cm pot – ideal for plants in 34–38cm nursery pots or larger specimen plants
