The Yucca Cane is a tough and hardy evergreen that is native to hot and dry parts of the Americas and the Caribbean. Due to these harsh environments in which they grow, Yuccas have adapted ways to store water and moisture to survive long periods of drought. They have thick waxy skin to prevent loss of water through evaporation, store water in their thick roots, and can also store water in their thick sword-shaped leaves. This makes caring for this plant quite easy as it requires very infrequent watering!

Care Tips:
- Yuccas love bright, indirect light and can also tolerate periods of direct sunlight.
- Yuccas are drought resistant due to their ability to store water in their succulent-like leaves. It is better to under water than to over water. The general rule is to allow the soil to completely dry out in between waterings.
- Yuccas naturally grow in arid environments and therefore do not need high humidity to thrive.
- When repotting, use a nutrient-rich and well-draining House Plant Soil mixed with perlite for optimal drainage.
- Yucca Canes are toxic to humans and pets if ingested. Keep away from young children and curious pets!
