I especially remember the gorgeous beach-front lined with coconut palm trees shading the foot path I jogged on each morning at sun rise in our quaint neighborhood in Salvador, Bahia. We even had a tall coconut tree in our back yard. Our talented gardener would effortlessly shimmy up the two story trunk to toss down some coconuts to us. The simple luxury of drinking chilled coconut milk on the beach is one of many memories I revisited as I defined each palm frond with nostalgic stokes of my paintbrush.
“Coconut Palm” makes a beautiful large triptych when curated with “Leaning Palms” and “ Three Palms.”
