This is the correct roselle/hibiscus cultivar for harvesting the calyxes. Plants are bushy with green leaves and stems. The flowers bloom and then fall off revealing a swollen calyx that is harvested to make roselle jelly, syrup, or tea. Since cranberries do not grow well in Florida, many make roselle jelly which tastes very similar to cranberry jelly. This plant goes by many names such as Florida Cranberry, Indian Sorrel, Jamaican Tea, Maple-Leaf Hibiscus, October Hibiscus, and Red Sorrell. This is an awesome crop to grow in hot climates as it is a heat loving tropical plant. The young tender leaves are also edible and best used mixed in with other salad greens.

Please be advised that there is another plant that looks very similar to this one, but it is not the cultivar needed if you want to harvest calyxes. This other plant is called false roselle. It looks just like true roselle but the all the leaves and stems are burgundy in color.

Roselle grows great in regular Florida native sandy soil. It doesn't have many pests or diseases. It loves full sun and get get as tall as 6FT. It is perennial ion zones +9. If you are in zones 8 or below, it will require either protection during the winter or grow in a pot and bring in doors.

Hyena Proof
Color: Acorn - Large, Size: Large
I have an American Bulldog that would chew a brick if he didn’t have an alternative lying around. They won’t last forever (nothing does) but we’ve had two of these over the course of a year and for him that is nothing short of a miracle. And that is daily chewing like it’s his job. I highly recommend the Acornucopia for aggressive chewers with jaws like hyenas…so it’s probably great for your dog too.

This is an awesome product and affordably priced! I'll buy more in the future!
Color: Comet - Small, Size: Small
This is a great ball for my dog Polly! It doesn't stink or have any weird oils on the ball. It is definitely durable. It has a nice chirping sound and it's great exercise for my dog's jaws. It's not too bouncy and it's the perfect weight that she feels satisfied having in her mouth and when she catches it in mid-air. It's not too heavy that I have to worry about it knocking her teeth out. I almost cancelled the order after I found out the size of the ball, I thought it was a larger ball that Bark makes. It turns out it is larger than a tennis ball which is what I wanted. Someone gave us a black, knobby, ball that is 12.5 inches in diameter and she absolutely loves it, it's her favorite ball. It's the perfect size for her American Pit Bull mouth! I cannot find this product anywhere or a comparable alternative that's the same size. If you know where I can purchase another ball that I've described @ 12.5 in. diameter, please let me know! I'll likely buy this ball that was just delivered, today, in the future, if it's not discontinued! It's a great deal for only $14.99!! Thanks from a happy satisfied customer, V.B.

Sort of good for tough chewers??
Color: Deep Roots Carrot - Small, Size: Small Dog
The actual carrot part (orange part) is tough chewer approved and my dog loves. It’s basically the same shape and size as his kong. However the leaves (green part) is not tough chewer approved. He ripped ALL those leaves off and ate them within 5 minutes of me giving him the toy. However they passed through him fine.
