Native to the humid climates of Mexico and Central & South America, this air plant is a perfect stepping stone for someone who wants to get into air plants, but doesn't know where to start!
If you're not familiar with air plants, they grow on the bark and stems of trees and other plants, and do not need soil -- as their name suggests, they grow in the air! Consistent rainfall and humid conditions keep these plants well-watered, and helps them root into moist tree bark, feeding them more nutrients than rainfall and air can provide. However, they're perfectly happy growing in your home hanging from a wire, standing in a cup or vase, or displayed however you like!
Keep your air plant in medium to bright indirect light, and in a place that gets consistent air flow. There are many methods of watering air plants, from soaking them in warm water baths, to spritzing them with spray bottles, to running them under your faucet. We personally recommend spritzing your air plants thoroughly 2 times a week and drying them upside down to avoid trapping water inside the leaves, which can lead to rot.
This plant is completely safe for pets!

If a plant is out of stock, we apologize – we’re very grateful for our community’s support, and can sell out of certain plants quite quickly! We get new plants about once a week and try to source all our community’s favs as fast as we can.
If you’re local to the LA area, we recommend coming into the shop when you can, especially if you’re looking for a new plant!
